Hello to all. I'm Tan Siew Ghim from class 17/07. I had studied in Swiss Cottage Secondary School previously. The subjects I had taken from Secondary 3 to 4 were English, Amaths, Emaths, Higher Chinese, Pure Chemistry, Pure Physics, Combined Humans (Social Studies & Elective Geoography) and Pure History. My previous CCA was St John Anbulance Bridage (SJAB).

I simply love my school. It holds a lot of my precious memories and the friendships forged then. The teachers are also dedicated to their job as evident by our good O'level results. I would like to mention two of my favourite teachers - Mr Kamal and Ms Tsao.

Mr Kamal was my combined humanity and history teacher. He rocks, totally! Though history is a pretty dry subject, he manages to make every single lesson an interesting one. I always anticipate his lessons. He is so knowledgable that we'll all go like "WOW" when he told us some stories or facts. All thanks to him, I had gotten my distinctions for both my humanities!

Ms Tsao was my chinese teacher. She understands us and bonds with us well. I could remember I fell asleep (for once only) in her class one day. I was also having a bad headache due to the lack of sleep. That was because I did my history project until 4am in the morning the previous day. I then told her my plight and she allowed me to rest! I was so grateful to her then. Fortunately, I did not let her down as I had secured an A1 for my higher chinese!

I had joined SJAB since Secondary One. I had learnt a lot from my squadmates, seniors and teachers - leadership, teamwork, first-aid skills, footdrills, etc. I believe that it has also nurtured me into a more disciplined person. I really like the bonding between our squadmates. I hope that Swiss SJAB will continue to soar higher and my juniors will carry on to uphold our good name!

That's about all. Hope Mr Herd doesn't penalize me for my 'broken english'. I like Mr Herd's lessons! (:

Cheers.
